Our mission is to lead mankind to accept Christ as Savior and to inspire Christians to serve Him as LORD. To teach and preach the word of God with church filled Holy Spirit interpretation that can be trusted, taking the ancient Word and making it contemporary for today's family.
Reverend Welch
Reverend Welch was educated in the Detroit Public Schools system attending Southwestern High School, Wayne County Community College, and the University of Detroit-Mercy. Reverend Welch received four years of ministerial training under the Michigan Conference Institute for the African Methodist Episcopal Church, gaining the Certificate of Deacon’s Ordination in 1983 and the Certificate of Elder’s Ordination in 1985. He served his country in the United States Air Force as a “Reciprocating Aircraft Engine Technician,” servicing C121, C123, and C124 Aircraft.
Reverend Welch retired in 1991 from the Finance Department of the City of Detroit as a Senior Income Tax Investigator. In 1986 he founded Christ Temple AME Church (now Christ Temple Evangelical Ministries). Reverend Welch is the Vice President of the Ministerial Alliance of Detroit Area Community Churches. Starting in 2015, his messages are broadcast on radio station “Gospel 1440 WMKM, Detroit.”
MY TESTAMONY 2020-2023
I KNOW GOD IS REAL!
- Between the years 2020 to 2023 I had kidney failure and heart failure. I went through eight surgeries; three for my kidneys and five for my heart. The hospital place me in the room they wait for you to die over night. BUT GOD! heard my prayer and saved me.
Car Crash
During this same time period I was in a car crash that totaled the car but saved myself and brother Ron Vaughn, the driver.
COCID 19 History
- The United States suffered 1,217,097 deaths from COVID 19 up until March 2024. Michigan had 44,654 deaths. I personally lost thirty friends and relatives, many of which I preached their funerals. This was a very challenging time for our faith and the church community. Only by the Grace of God have we been able to go forward.
